“You don’t have to be a millionaire,

With a mansion full of art.

I just want someone to sing me a love song.

If you’d sing me a love song.

A simple, tender, love song.

You’d steal my heart.”

Me And My New Pet

I bought myself a gift, a post birthday wish that I've been waiting to come true for quite sometime. An SLR camera, and I can't hardly wait what we can do together. Maybe through this I can be something more than I am right now. Maybe this new found passion will take me to places and make me meet a lot of new faces. Maybe through this my life will take a new level of excitement and adventure. Or maybe a new job, or a recognition. Maybe through this I can express myself all the more and create something wonderful that would imprint into memories.

Maybe I'd be great with it.
Maybe.

Meet My Niece - Natalie Jolyne Tan

She was half-Singaporean half-Filipino, my sister's daughter born in Singapore last Feb 2011. This was the first picture taken of her after she was born. There was something in this picture that is so picture perfect. Maybe her expression, the way she was posed, the shot itself, it was like something you see in a magazine or a poster.

I love this picture of her and I have yet to meet her come May, I'll be spending sometime with my sister and her new family.

What do you think of her? Isn't she an angel?

Ode To Adobo

No food would always remind me of home than the Adobo, I've learned that there are 1001 ways of preparing it, from the dry kind, with coconut milk, with potatoes, sweet, salty, etc., etc....

I love mine with lots of sauce and semi-sweet. My mom has her own version, simply boiling the chicken or pork in water with soy sauce and vinegar together with garlic, and voila!

Then there's this version my very good friend Ivy taught me, after cooking in soy sauce and vinegar with lots of garlic, she would fry the chicken in butter, again with garlic! Served dry, but very tasty!

And that's what we had for dinner this evening and am still savoring the after taste in my mouth as I write this!

However you prepare it, Adobo is still one of the best! Truly a Filipino creation that is one of a kind.

From Beginning to End

"I love you."
"And why do you love me?"
"I love you because you're mine. I love you because you need love. I love you because when you look at me I feel like a hero. It was always like that...I love you because when I touch you I feel more a man than any other man."
"I love you too."
"And why do you love me too?"
"I love you because when I touch you I make you feel more a man than any other man. I love you because nobody could ever accuse us of love. I love you because to understand our love they'd need to turn the world upside down...I love you because you could love somebody else, yet still you love me...just me."
"Just you."
"Just you."
